Andrew Houston returns to Hawaii where he was stationed in the Navy during his youth to search for Leilani, the lost love of that youth. He finds Leilani, but neither is sure that the love they once shared can be rekindled in the present. Andrew also meets Leilani’s best friend, Sharon Lindsey, and neither of them can deny or face up to an attraction between them.

Andrew returns to his home in Colorado puzzled by just what his feelings are toward both Leilani and Sharon. A business trip takes Sharon to Colorado where she bumps into Andrew placing them both in a situation neither is sure about.

Andrew, Sharon, and Leilani are all faced with trying to sort out the past, the present, and especially the future.
