Multi-Media Publications Inc., in partnership with Mark Kozak-Holland, author of "Project Lessons from The Great Escape (Stalag Luft III)," has donated $1,000 from the sales of the book to The Great Escape Memorial Project.
Oshawa, Ontario (MMPUBS.COM) November 28, 2008 -- In this month of remembrance for the veterans of World War II, Multi-Media Publications Inc. and author Mark Kozak-Holland have contributed $1,000 to a charity focused on constructing a memorial museum at a prison camp in Sagan, Poland and another memorial in Calgary, Canada where several survivors lived after the war.
The prison camp is most famous for being the site of the famous "Great Escape" of WWII when alied airmen tunnelled out of the camp to freedom. This was memorialized in a popular Hollywood movie, and in many books.
Kozak-Holland has analyzed the escape project using modern project management methods in his book "Project Lessons from The Great Escape (Stalag Luft III)." A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book are being donated to charity.
The Great Escape Memorial Project is a charitable organization established to build the museums. The first visitor's centre at the former prison camp opened earlier this year.
